CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order 5:37PM at Lady Bird Club House.

PRESENT: Stacey Colvin, Jason Hensley, Eric Zey, Leonard Bentch, Jim Penn, Ron

Moerbe, Robert McCall, Steve Knight.

MINUTES:

Accepted and approved as electronically submitted by Jim and seconded be Eric.

FINANCIALS:

The balance sheet and check registry documenting income YTD March 31 has been

distributed electronically and were accepted as submitted.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Leonard announced he, Ron and Bruce have reached the end of their tenures as

directors as provided by board rules. Leonard will retire effective the Summer Event on

May 31 when new board members will be elected. He has conveyed to Jim three binders

and a memory stick of all FOLB and Junior Golf Foundation documents.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

Eric announced he had five outstanding candidates and the top four were selected

using the Forced Rank system as outlined in the Scholarship Charter

Two recipients are from FHS, one from Heritage, one from Harper High Schools.

One judge was unable to complete his duties but Bradley Finley was added and

approved by the board as an addition to the committee.

Eric noted that one candidate left the financial need question blank. Discussion was

held about the viability of the question but it was agreed that the question of need is valid

and should be left on the application with no penalty to leaving it blank.

CLINICS:

The summer 2023 free golf clinics are as follows:

Boot Ranch 4 pm June 2,16,30, July 21, 28.

LBJ starts at 10 am June 10,24, July 8, 15, August 5.

Discussion was held concerning the Pathway progression of future opportunities.

Jason will discuss with Chris.

FISD:

Jim, Stacey, and Jason will meet with the FISD AD to assure our compliance with

UIL rules concerning financial support of the FMS and FHS golf teams

FUTURE EVENTS:

The fund raiser/member meeting is scheduled for May 31.

The annual tournament is scheduled for September 18.

Jason is shooting for July 8-12 for the DCP competition.

We are trying to find an opportunity for free golf for kids during the summer
