JUNIOR GOLF OF FREDERICKSBURG

November 9, 2022

CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 5:32, Lady Bird Club House.

PRESENT: Eric Zey, Adam Starr, Stacey Colvin, Jim Penn, Leonard Bentch, Chris Meade, Ron Moerbe, Keri Hensley, and Jason Hensley

Guests: Kelly Gonyea, Steven Knight.

MINUTES: Approved as amended and transmitted.

FINANCIALS:

Adam reported a balance of $199,232.65 as of October 31. Income statement not available. Report accepted.

CLINICS:

Chris reported that the regularly scheduled clinics are finished but he will attempt to hold one during the Thanksgiving holidays, weather permitting.

The US KIDS program has 20 students at various stages enrolled.

FHS: Chris has ordered the equipment for FHS golf teams (rain suits, range finders, etc.). The FHS golf season has begun and both teams have acquitted themselves well. There is no change in the coaching status at present.

Jim plans to meet with Michelle Williams, FISD facilities manager, this week to speak about the possibility and problems associated with building a golf instruction facility on school grounds.

NEW BUSNESS

Stacey presented a Strategic Operation Plan to assist in planning goals, priorities and operations for the organization. A committee consisting of Leonard, Jim, Stacey and Keri and will submit a report at the January meeting.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Adam said he would resign as treasurer but introduced Kelly as his replacement.

Kelly is a licensed auditor and eager to be on the board.

Stacey made a motion to accept her as an interim board member and treasurer.

Jim seconded the motion that was then unanimously and enthusiastically approved.
