CALL TO ORDER: At 5:33, Cardinal Room, Lady Bird Club House

PRESENT: Jim Penn, Bruce Reeh, Ron Moerbe, Chris Meade, Eric Zey, Adam Starr, Keri Hensley, Stacy Colvin, Shane Schmidt

Minutes: The minutes of the July 20th meeting were accepted as corrected and electronically submitted.

FINANCIAL

June 30th Balance: $160,290.55

June Sources of Funds: $6,750.00

June Use of Funds: ($2,500.00)

July 31st Balance: $164,540.55

CLINICS

Chris informed us that the last Free Clinic at LBJ will be on Saturday. The last at Boot will be next Saturday. The US Kids Pathways program has graduated six golfers from level 1, one from level 3, and one is working on level 5. Chris stated that he may need more gold clubs for older kids (10-12 age group). He will bring estimated costs to the next meeting to be voted on.

DRIVE, CHIP AND PUTT

The competition will be held this Saturday August 20th at LBJ. We have the medals and Stacy will bring water and ice. Volunteers are asked to show up at 8:30. We currently have 18 players registered but we expect twice that on Saturday. The competition will start at 10am. Hots and chips will be served following the competition.

FUNDRAISER

Sponsors: Jim said we have currently 30 sponsors who have committed $30,150 . There are a number of sponsors that donated in previous years that have not responded. We will continue to contact them as well as new prospects.

Teams: We have 85 players or 21 teams committed to play in tournament. We are looking for 4-5 more teams.

Prizes/Auction Items: We have a number of prizes and auction items. Everyone is asked to keep looking for more prizes and auction items.

Food: Boot Ranch is providing the separated costs for breakfast, lunch and awards event. We can then communicate these costs to donors and see if they will sponsor the costs.

Beverages: Keg1 will provide the beer. Keg1 is also arranging for Troy Aikman’s Elite 8 beer to have a tent on a hole and pass out beer samples. Iron Goat will not participate this year but will provide a 4 bottle basket. Dietz Liquor will sponsor a hole as well as provide samples.
